Our Crowdfunding Groups
Spokes America is a group of 8 MIT and Harvard students who love Science, Engineering, Technology, and Math (STEM). To share our love for STEM, we'll be biking across America this summer to teach kids all over the country about how accessible and fun STEM can be!
During the trip, we will stop at towns and cities to hold nine learning festivals. At each festival, we will have four hands-on learning workshops that highlight the best parts of electrical engineering, physics, math, and neuroscience!
We will teach kids how physics can help us create homemade speakers, how computers work through DIY calculators, how math can improve the way they play everyday games, and even how our brains perform when we play sports!
The money you donate to us will help us in several ways, including but not limited to - purchasing class supplies for the students in our workshops, purchasing the bikes themselves, emergency bike supplies on the road, and all of the travel gear we will need this summer!
In donating to Spokes 2017, you'll help us teach students that STEM isn't out of their reach.
